Hmm..everytime I post I get incredibly frustrated because for some reason, likely to do with my own stupidity, nearly everything on blogger is now in Chinese for me and I have absolutely no idea how to fix it. ugh. If anyone knows how to change this damn thing, please help.
But the focus of this post is the amazing and completely insane night I had last night! Yesterday was the second day of O-week at B&G and it was Drag 'N Diva Night. I have never been so drunk in my life. And never done such stupid things. Yikes! Ask me for pictures if you see me on MSN! I cant quite remember how to post pics on Blogger and I dont really want to try and figure out this great mass of chinese I have on my screen. heh.

Shoebox Sweet Shoebox..
So I've moved back to my old room. It feels good to be back. Far away from black carpets, moths and other assorted bugs and psych ward floor tiles. The drawback is that its hotter on the second floor than it was on the ground floor. But I'm surviving. Me and my trusty little fan.
Oh Happy CNY to everyone who's celebrating it. Was just reading Adel's blog about the predictions for Ox's this coming year. No offence to anyone who might believe in it but it does seem like a whole load of bullshit (no pun intended). I mean, its great and all that, but it is kinda vague isnt it? And rather more about how you interpret it. That said, it also mentions that I will succeed in love with a little help from my friend. So you heard the prediction, now get to work the lot of you! Hahaha....
Also nice to get a mention on adel's blog. So here are the 5 of life's little pleasures that I like the most.
Name five of life's simple pleasures that you like most, then pick five people to do the same.Try to be original and creative and not use things that someone else has already used:
1. Finding the perfect outfit for any day or occasion
2. Making a dessert or baking something that turns out perfectly
3. Waking up really early in the morning and just lying in bed knowing I dont have anything to do or anywhere to go. (Ahh..bliss..)
4. Crossing things off a to-do list
5. Hugging my dog! (Copper I miss you!)
Yeah that was pretty tough. And now I'm supposed to think of 5 people I want to do this thing. Well most of you seem to have done it already, so if you haven't yet then do it. I'm sure there are at least 5 of you. You know who you are.
In other news, the internet is still not back up in our rooms. Which sucks more than you can imagine. It really bites having to trudge down to the com lab to use the net. Anfd having to sit besid other people while you're at it. I mean, not like I do anything dodgy in the net, but I do appreciate my privacy. And you just dont get that with some weirdo sitting inches from you peering over to your screen. Which is exactly what's happening now. And this is as much for his benefit. Mwahahah....
Oh, another exciting recent development is that my dad is coming to Oz to visit me. Wicked cool. Not because I'm dying to hang out with him or anything but because I missed out on coming back home this summer and theres a whole bunch of stuff I wanted from home.
What else? Work is going well. I havent been yelled at or spilled anything on anyone recently. And I got a red packet from work! For Chinese New Year! Twenty Bucks!
Ok, nothing else to report. Have fun guys...

Back to School...Hurray?
Ugh...So I've enrolled in all my classes. Its gonna be back to school in a few weeks. Bleh, I'm really not looking forward to it. New classes, new people, new tutors, new lecturers. I hate it all. Especially the new people part. I just know I'm going to despise the new first years that come along and think that they're all that. Cuz God knows they all think that. Stupid childish little brats. Well, on the upside, I am kinda looking forward to my classes. They seem interesting, though I still haven't gotten this whole speaking out during tutorials bit down pat yet. And its gonna be hell cuz most of the time I'm talkin' outta my ass anyway. Bugger that.
In other news, I also have a job. I think I may have previously mentioned it. Yeah its a Singaporean restaurant in the city. Corny huh? Oh well, I get money and food. I'm happy. And one of the guys I work with is kinda cute. Unfortunately he's also practically a baby. Bloody hell, he's like 18. A child! They let infants out into the workforce these days? But I suppose I shouldn't be mean, I'm learning nearly everything from him.
Also, it's been decided that ANU's DOI are a bunch of dumbfuckers. The internet has been down in all the on campus halls for 2 frickin weeks. And yesterday, the internet was down across the whole campus. Can anyone even begin to imagine an entire university without access to the internet for a whole day? Its madness..
Today is actually a public holiday over here. Australia Day. One of the more pointless public holidays I think. The highlight of Australia Day is, depending on your perspective, either the cricket or the Triple J Hottest 100 countdown. Ok so I'm not really the biggest cricket fan. Anyway, turns out Wolfmother got SIX, yes that's right, count 'em, SIX songs in the hottest 100. The Gorillaz had TWO in the top 5 and Bernard Fanning was #1. For those of you who don't know who Bernard Fanning is, he's the lead singer of aussie super group Powderfinger. Go dl his song 'Wish You Well' and check out Powderfinger while you're at it. And definitely give Wolfmother a listen.
Has everyone sort of realised that we're all turning 21 this year? I don't know about you guys, but that makes me feel kinda weird. I don't really feel old, that's not how I would describe it. More like I'm too old for how I feel. As far as I'm concerned, I'm still a teenager! Well I feel like one anyway. Telling ppl you're 21. Damn, that's just freaky. My life is moving way too fast for me. I just want to slow down. I don't want to have to be responsible and make good sensible decisions about my future. I literally feel like I'm blundering about blindfolded and no way I'm gonna succeed because there are all these people who are so much smarter and better prepared than I am. How am I supposed to compete? And yet I have to. Life BITES!
And that was my rant for the day. Happy Australia Day folks. Hope you're doin' better than I am.

Narnia!
I watched the chronicles of Narnia! Damn it was cool! Ok I won't spoil it for those of you that have yet to see it. But GO SEE IT NOW! Does anyone else think Mr. Tumnus is cute? I mean apart from the goat half of him. But he has a nice face.
Its been a couple of days so I should update everyone on my job search. The restaurant didnt call me, so I called them on Monday and was told to show up there for an "informal interview" the next day. What in God's name is an 'informal interview'? Or more importantly, what does one wear to one of those?! I went with a short sleeved black shirt and casual pants. Anyway, I went there and there were probably five people already there. I was NOT late. Anyway, I was talking to the woman and it was damn obvious I wasnt getting the job. But what pissed me off more than that was that she couldnt even be upfront about that. She was all like, well I dont really know what the situation is going to be like at the moment, but I have your contact number and I'll let you know when I know. And I'm sitting there thinking, you cow I heard you ask the two people before me to come back on Thursday. Dont give me this bullshit. Anyway, I walked out of there pissed off and knowing full well I wasnt getting it. I suppose I should thank her for annoying the crap out of me because after that I thought, screw this shit and I walked into another restaurant around the corner and asked if they were hiring. Something I wouldnt have done if I had been in my usual calm and mostly chicken frame of mind. And what do you know, they asked me to come in for a trial this friday! So who knows! By next week, I might be gainfully employed! Nothing terribly exciting going on apart from that. I made an awful dinner tonight if thats news to anyone. haha. I was deeply disappointed in myself.
Friends are starting to come back from their holidays. Not that anyone bought me anything!! hehe.
Hmm, my dad just called. Apparently a letter got sent to my Singapore address instead of my Canberra address, even though it has the Canberra address on the front. And its a letter from the School of Social Sciences at ANU saying that I have performed really well and that they strongly urge students with my performance to pursue an honours program. Ok WHAT THE HELL?? Thats bullshit! I think they've made some kind of mistake, honestly. Well its made my dad happy. But I sat through the whole bit of him reading the letter with my heart pounding, hoping and praying they didnt print my results at the bottom. Holy crap. I seriously dont believe this. And on that surreal note, I'll catch ya'll later.

Closet Teen Soap Junkie
Yep, I think its time I confess my secret love for trashy teen soaps. I watch The O.C. and One Tree Hill. *ahem* that was kinda painful. Oh well, still no call from the restaurant. I really couldnt be arsed to go apply for jobs at other places. This is my innate laziness shining through right here. I'm praying they call tomorrow, otherwise I'll call them and do a little tactful harassing. In other news, there is no other news. Its unspeakably quiet around here. I really want to watch the Chronicles of Narnia. I'm sure most of you have seen it already. Might go on Tuesday with James. Hmm...I really want to read the books too. But I cant find the all-in-one book at the bookstores and I can only find the lion, the witch and the wardrobe in the library. Frustrating. Whats a good book to read anyway? I've got a whole ton of time on my hands. Suggestions?
Adel's post about making cookies made me realise that despite everything, I really make absolutely crap cookies. They seem to be the one thing I cant get the hang of. I mean, any monkey can make decent choc chip cookies right? So why the hell cant I? Its quite distressing. Then again, I cant be too normal if I make better crepes than pancakes.
The internet connection to my room is down, so I'm stuck using the computer labs. Lousy key board. So I think I'll make my blog more interesting once I start blogging from my room. Okie dokes...catch ya'll later!

Back and boreder than ever!
Hey all you loyal fans, I've decided to start blogging again. Not because I think anyone really cares about whats going on in my life, but more because I just really need something to do with my life. And yes, as my friends, you are all obligated to read this crap and leave meaningful comments. So, on to the business at hand. The most terrifying thing happened today. I found a ginormous (gigantic + enormous. it is so a word...quit rolling your eyes dammit!) spider in my room earlier today. It was on my bed! Clinging to my blanket. Bloody hell I nearly had a massive coronary! Thinking quickly (I'm brilliant under pressure, dont you know?), I picked up my phone and called James to come save me from the monster on my bed. So he did. Though I think it really is not normal to be able to grab a spider with a piece of tissue and smoosh it. Yeah, he was quite amused. And yesterday there was a grasshopper sitting rather comfortably on my desk lamp. I threw a book (2005 International Undergraduate Student Guide) at it and it died, no biggie. But still, I'm so glad I'll be moving back to my 2nd floor room soon. No more bloody bugs. Thankfully the moths have decided not to use my room as a place to die anymore. I found FOUR dead moths in my room over a space of a week. Creepy.
In other news, Anberlin is coming to Australia. And as much as I'm dying to see them, they arent coming to Canberra. They will be in Sydney, but im not paying $40 for transport, $30 for the ticket and $20 for overnicght accom. I dont like them that much. Too bad I dont know anyone I can stay with over there. What a bummer. Damn you all for choosing Melbourne. Whats the point of having 2 (and soon to be 3) people in Melbourne? I cant travel there as cheaply or easily as I can to Sydney. Come on people! Get your priorities straight!
Ok I think thats more than enough from me.
